What this is

Custos is a demonstration of an IT service management platform. It is operated by an individual, not a company, and it is published so that people evaluating the work can use it. Treat it as a demonstration rather than a service you should depend on.

What we store

If you open a demo environment without signing in, we store a randomly generated identifier in a cookie so that your environment is still there when you come back. That identifier is not linked to you.

If you sign in with Google, we receive and store your email address, your name, your profile picture URL, and Google’s stable account identifier. That is the whole list. We request only the openid, email and profile scopes, so we cannot read your mail, files, calendar, or contacts, and we do not ask to.

The data inside your environment

Every incident, configuration item, change and alert you see in a demo environment is generated by a seeded random generator. None of it describes a real organisation, a real system, or a real person. Names of people and systems are invented.

Credentials

A demo environment cannot connect to any real system, so there is nothing for it to hold credentials for. Where the product does connect to real systems, its default posture is to store a reference into the customer’s own secret manager rather than the secret itself. Secrets are never written to logs, error messages, support output, or prompts sent to a language model.

Language models

Some features send text you type — an incident description, a question — to a third-party language model provider so that it can be turned into structured fields or a draft. Do not paste anything confidential into this demonstration.

Where it runs, and for how long

On a single virtual server in Mumbai, India. Idle demo environments are deleted automatically. To have your account and environment removed sooner, email pkalambi@gmail.com and it will be deleted.

What we do not do

No advertising, no analytics that follow you across sites, no selling or sharing of anything, no tracking cookies. The only cookies are the one that keeps you signed in and the one that remembers which demo environment is yours.
